Brent Clarke Returns as Head Coach for Upcoming 2026-2027 Season

Brent Clarke is a familiar face returning to the Watertown Wolves as their Head Coach for the 2026-2027 season. A native of Bolton, Ontario, Clarke has deep roots in both the North Country and the Federal Prospects Hockey League (FPHL), having previously led Watertown to multiple championships.
Coaching Career & Achievements:
Clarke is one of the most successful coaches in FPHL history, particularly during his tenures in Watertown.
Championship Pedigree:
He served as the head coach for two of the Wolves' Commissioner’s Cup victories. His first title came in the 2014-2015 season, which was the team's inaugural year. He returned to lead them to another championship in the 2021-2022 season.
FPHL Accolades:
He has been named the FPHL Coach of the Year multiple times, including following his 2014-15 and 2021-22 campaigns.
Broad Experience:
Beyond Watertown, Clarke has held coaching and leadership roles with the Knoxville Ice Bears (SPHL), Elmira Enforcers (FPHL), and most recently served as an assistant coach for the Norfolk Admirals (ECHL) and Director of Scouting for the Columbus River Dragons.
Professional Playing Background:
Before transitioning to the bench, Clarke had a professional playing career spanning over a decade.

Success as a Player: He was part of the 2012-2013 SPHL championship-winning Pensacola Ice Flyers team.

He and his family are residents of the Alexandria Bay area, making his move back to the Watertown Wolves a homecoming both professionally and personally. Known for his ability to recruit high-end talent and his "win-first" mentality, Clarke is expected to revitalize the Wolves' pursuit of another Commissioner's Cup.
