Wolves Fall in OT to River Drivers

Berlin, NH - The Berlin River Drivers got their first victory against the Watertown Wolves as they faced off in the Notre Dame Arena in Berlin, New Hampshire.

The game remained scoreless through the first period.  Watertown’s Shane Halaas received a roughing double minor giving the River Drivers a four-minute power play in the first minute of the second period.  Berlin only needed eleven seconds to capitalize when Bryan Dallaire and Pavel Kubena set Matt Fuller to put the River Drivers up by one.

The Wolves would tie the game up in the second-half of the period when captain Brett Liscomb scored with the aid of Shane Halaas and Mark Petaccio.  The score remained tied through the end of the third period, giving the teams a sense of déjà vu as their last match in the Notre Dame Arena also went into overtime.

Dominik Synek would provide a different outcome for this matchup when assists from Jan Salak and Matt Fuller gave him the opportunity to score the game winning goal.

The Wolves will face off with the River Drivers again on Thursday in Berlin before hosting them back in Watertown on Friday, December, 30.  Friday night’s game will start at 7:30 pm in the Watertown Municipal Ice Arena.
