Wolves Satisfy Appetite with Another Win

Watertown, NY - The Watertown Wolves were hungry to keep their win streak going in a rematch with the Danville Dashers at Watertown Municipal Arena on Saturday night. Their appetite was satiated with a healthy 4-2 victory.

Justin Brausen got Danville off to an early lead when he lit up the lamps just thirty seconds into the game. Anton Lennartsson scored a power play goal via Tyler Gjurich and Kyle Powell during Alex Basey's hooking penalty. The Wolves successfully killed Kyle Powell's and Nicola Levesque's back-to-back holding penalties before Basey and Levesque exchanged blows. Tyler Gjurich extended his lead in the league of goals with just thirty seconds left on assists from Troy Polino and Powell to end the first period with a score of 2-1, Watertown.

Dallas Ingram was ejected from the game early in the second period after a hard check to Chad Bennett. Bennett was able to get up on his own and made his way to the locker room. Jimmy Soper tied the game up with a power play goal during Ingram's penalty that was served by Troy Polino. Gavin Yates took the lead back for the Wolves on a play from Nicola Levesque and Jesse Facchini.

Danville Head Coach Brent Clarke was ejected from the game after expressing his dissatisfaction with a slashing penalty charged to his goaltender Aaron Taylor. Anton Lennartsson extended the Wolves' lead with a shot over the netminder's shoulder that was set up by Cameron Dimmitt and Troy Polino.

Anton Lennartsson's two goals earned him the 1st Star of the Game. A goal and an assist earned Tyler Gjurich the 2nd Star of the Game. The 3rd Star of the Game went to Kyle Powell with two assists.

The Wolves will be back in action on Friday, April 6th in a rematch with the Danville Dashers at Watertown Municipal Arena with a 7:30 puck drop.
